The "Crossroads Gallery"
A permanent tribute to Hoosier Automotive Innovation
On Friday April 21, the Kokomo Automotive Museum welcomed its second themed gallery, the "Crossroads Gallery." Located along the south wall of the museum, patrons enter this gallery after enjoying the "Kokomo/Howard County Gallery of Automotive Innovations." The "Crossroads Gallery" contains examples of cars produced around the Hoosier state by such fabled manufacturers as Auburn, Cord, Cole, Crosley, Marmon, Premier, and Studebaker. Two video stands present short films about Indiana-built cars while vintage advertisements serve as a backdrop to the display. In addition, visitors can see the innovations produced by Delco's Radio Division here in Kokomo, from the very primitive radios of the 1930s to some of the latest in automotive audio systems.
Coming November 4, 2017
"Fall Hoosier Classic"
In November 2016, Earlywine Auctions held their very first "Hoosier Classic" auction at the Kokomo Event and Conference Center, located adjacent to the Kokomo Automotive Museum. Collectors and enthusiasts from all over the Midwest flocked to the auction to see what automotive jewels could be had. The event went so well that auctioneer Brent Earlywine decided to hold a sequel in the spring. Saturday, May 27, 2017 was an even greater success, with half of the cars finding new homes. Highlights included a true barn find 1959 Cadillac Series 62 convertible, a 1949 Chrysler Town and Country convertible, a 1957 Ford Thunderbird "F" clone, and a 1965 Imperial convertible.
Building on the momentum of the first two auctions, Earlywine Auctions returns to Kokomo on November 4, 2017 for the third "Hoosier Classic" collector car auction. If you have a collectable, special interest, antique, or Full Classic car that needs a new home, contact Brent or Cody Earlywine to reserve your space now. You can call them at (260)-403-4227. If you prefer, you can e-mail Brent at firstname.lastname@example.org or Cody at email@example.com. Spectators are welcome. One price gets you into the auction and into the Kokomo Automotive Museum for a day of old car fun!
